Lebanon Reservoir Campground - 50 Years and Growing

At Lebanon Reservoir Campground we will be celebrating our 50th Anniversary throughout the season in 2013. Our new logo on display here will be incorporated on our new entrance sign, on merchandise in the camp store, and in our marketing program.

We are proud to announce an expanded activities program for 2013. Several new features will make the guest experience more memorable. First, we will unveil our new Reservoir Mining company activity that incorporates a mine sluice where guests pan for gemstones and fossils. A bounce house, dunk tank, and jumping ponies will also provide fun activities. Kayak rentals and free mini-golf for registered guests will remain popular pasttimes. Don't miss our on the excitement we anticipate at the park for 2013. Get your Reservations in early and note the dates for the Open House Weekend in June featured on the Activities page.

Lebanon Reservoir Campground is a family operated RV Park located on historic Lebanon Reservoir in the town of Lebanon, Madison County, New York. The 130-acre Reservoir dates to the 1830's when several such lakes were built in the area to provide a water supply source to sustain the Chenango Canal. Now maintained by the Canal Corporation, an agency within the New York State Thruway Authority, the Reservoir is a favorite fishing, boating and swimming area. The 100-acre campground includes extensive water frontage on the Reservoir and many campsites offer a water view.

Lebanon Reservoir Campground celebrates its 50th year in 2013. The park encompasses 135 sites on 90 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds some have described as a country club setting. To other sit more like an arboretum due to the many varieties trees and shrubs, perennial and annual flower beds, and the extensive lawn areas at the Reservoir waterfront. Campground guests are welcome to enjoy a scenic two-mile hike around the Reservoir. Trout and bass fishing continues to be a favorite for young and old as does swimming and boating.

The campground was founded by Gailan and Carolyn Hartshorn in the 1960s, the campground is now managed by a second and third generation of the family, including Truman, Mary Karen, Louise, Lois and Alan. Carolyn celebrated her 93rd birthday in 2012 and remains active in the business, as well. Come join us for a memorable experience at Lebanon Reservoir Campground.
